Farm Bureau holding annual meeting

The Linn County Farm Bureau will hold its 97th annual meeting on Tuesday at the Hiawatha Community Center.
During the business portion of the meeting, an election of directors will be held. Current officers and directors are: president Brian Lensch; vice-president Jason Russell; secretary-treasurer Chase Lang; voting delegate Curt Zingula; women's chair Shirley Oltmann; and directors Randy Balderston, Duane Bolton, Carol Brannaman, Ryan Burns, Kim Donaldson, Harvey Fascher, Greg Freshwater, Cindy Golding, Jim Greif, Glen Hankemeier, Norm Hlas, Tim Keegan, Marvin Kilberger, Jim Lensch, Dave Machacek, George Maxwell, Dave Prasil, Matt Price, Joel Rochleau, Bernita Rozinek, Curtis Schantz, and Mitchell Zumbach.
The 2012 resolutions committee under the chair of Jason Russell, Linn County Farm Bureau vice president and policy development chair, will present the proposed resolutions to those members attending. These approved resolutions will then be forwarded on to the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation for consideration in Des Moines in a fall meeting of the IFBF voting delegates.
Guest speaker will be Brigadier General Craig Bargfrede. He commanded the 734th Ag Development Team's mission to conduct agricultural activities in Kunar province that expanded legal agri-business, services, markets and agriculture education in order to reduce poverty, create jobs and build the capacity of the government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. |
