Substate baseball results

Lisbon's baseball team is bound for state. The Lions beat Preston 2-0 in substate action Tuesday. They will play Lawton-Bronston at 6 p.m. Monday at Principal Park in Des Moines.
Marshall Morgan pitched a three-hit shutout, going the distance for Lisbon in the state qualifying game.
Mount Vernon fell 10-9 to West Branch in its substate game Tuesday in Solon, with the Bears scoring the winning run in the seventh. Mount Vernon finished the season with a 16-22 record. |
