Cole Corner: A dog’s life gets a sequel August 03, 2012 · Cathy Boggs
In 2010 W. Bruce Cameron wrote A Dog's Purpose: A Novel for Humans. This author's debut novel was a huge success, spending more than 11 months on the New York Times Bestseller's List.
The book is about a dog, who over the course of the book, is reborn several times in different circumstances as he contemplates his life's purpose. Such a wildly successful book - soon to be a major motion picture - is often followed by a sequel. This book is no different, and Cole Library has purchased A Dog's Journey: Another Novel for Humans.
This second novel is written in the same style, but with a new canine companion, Buddy, who is trying to unlock the mystery: Do we take care of our pets or do our pets take care of us?
These books are a delight for animal enthusiasts, especially those who love dogs.
