MV’s Wieseler honored for diversity work

Tom Wieseler of Mount Vernon has been recognized as the Champion of Diversity for Sodexo's Midwest region for the January through April timeframe.
Wieseler is general manager of Sodexo's operation at Coe College in Cedar Rapids.
Champions of Diversity is a Sodexo program that reinforces diversity and inclusion as "key drivers of employee engagement that directly impact our team members, clients and customers."
Wieseler and Sodexo at Coe work with the local school district and its special education program, hiring four students from a local high school to work three days a week. That's been happening for at least 16 years. They also employ four or five employees from Goodwill or the ARC as part-time workers.
Coe also has a vibrant international student population, and Sodexo supports their group activities throughout the year. That includes an international club dinner and a soul food dinner. |
