Program winds down but patrons invited to ‘Dream Big’ August 13, 2012 · Cathy Boggs
With the start of school the summer reading program "Dream Big @ the Library" is winding down.
We've been exploring the stars, night creatures, and bedtime stories. We've watched a puppet show and movies together, and had a visit from the Blank Park Zoo, which invited us to touch a gecko and an alligator.
Hard to believe this summer is almost over. I hope you will finish your summer reading folders and come in for your reading t-shirts. We will have t-shirts until Sept. 1.
Story time will continue each Thursday morning at 9:30. We will share stories, songs and finger plays, ending the session with an arts and crafts activity.
Watch for new programs for school-aged students with Grace Chamberlain. Young adult and adult book groups will also be starting soon.
Thanks for a wonderful summer.
