The Mount Vernon native currently lives in Cedar Rapids.
Her family includes her parents, Gary and LeAnn Viter; grandmother, Mary Viter; sister, Stephanie Viter; nephew, Ben Hopkins (fifth grade); and significant other, Lee Pitlik.
She graduated from Mount Vernon High School and Cornell College, and received her master of arts in teaching from Morningside College.
