Cole Corner: Youth events in full swing at Cole Library August 24, 2012 · Grace Chamberlain
As school gets into full swing and students buckle down for the semester, the Cole Public Library is all revved up for August and September's Young Adult Programming. This fall we'll be continuing with our Teen Night activities, with the addition of a YA Movie Night featuring teen-focused movies and documentaries.
The public library will also be bringing back Off Track, our Young Adult book group focused on connecting teens through great literature. This year we've divided it into three groups: fifth and sixth grade; seventh and eighth grade; and high school. Informational meetings are scheduled at the following times:
• Fifth and sixth grade will meet at 3:20 p.m. Aug. 29.
• Seventh and eighth grade will meet at 3:20 p.m. Aug. 30.
• High school will meet at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 2.
Upcoming Events:
Bookmark Madness: Is a boring bookmark bringing your reading down? Come craft some cool corner bookmarks from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. tonight (Thursday, Aug. 23) in Room 108.
Notebook Decorating: Start the semester in style and personalize your notebooks on Wednesday, Sept. 5, from 6:30 to 7 p.m. in Room 108.
Teen Movie Night: We're kicking off our movie nights with Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27, in Room 108.
