Wallace recommended for AD, assistant principal job
August 25, 2012

Mount Vernon School District superintendent Pam Ewell announced late Tuesday afternoon that on Monday the school board will consider hiring Joe Wallace as a replacement for Duane Orr to fill the district's assistant high school principal/activities director position.

Wallace is a business education teacher and assistant football coach for the school. Ewell said the district is looking for a replacement to fill Wallace's teaching position and "we already have excellent candidates interested."

Orr stepped down late in July and the school board approved using a teacher on special assignment this year to fill the position. Orr is now teaching in the middle school.

The school board's meeting this coming Monday is at 7 p.m. in the high school library.
