Brannaman, Grabau united in marriage

Tia Marlene Grabau, of Williamsburg, and Brett James Brannaman, of Mount Vernon, were married Sept. 15, 2012, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mount Vernon, by Rev. John R. Flaherty.
Parents of the couple are Allen and Linda Grabau, of Williamsburg, and James and Carol Brannaman, of Mount Vernon.
Maid of honor was Mary Schmidt, of Williamsburg. Bridesmaids were April Grabau, of Williamsburg, sister of the bride, and Rebecca Owens and Elizabeth Owens, of Homestead. The flower girl was Ashlyn Kilberger, of Watkins, cousin of the bride.
Best man was Michael Brannaman, brother of the groom, of Mount Vernon. Groomsmen were Doug Rice and Jon Arnold, of Mount Vernon, and Levi Grabau, brother of the bride, of Williamsburg. Ushers were Lijah Luhring, of Hiawatha, and Chuck Smith, of Williamsburg. Ring bearer was Austin Kilberger, of Watkins, cousin of the bride.
Honored guest was OraLee Grabau, of Marion, 102-year-old great-grandmother of the bride.
The groom's parents hosted a rehearsal supper at Lisbon Community Center.
A reception and dance followed the wedding at Glovik Hall by St. Wenceslaus Church, Cedar Rapids, hosted by the bride's uncle and aunt, Joel and Candi Grabau, of Robins, followed the wedding ceremony. Guestbook attendants were Morgan Grabau, of Robins, and Celina Young, of Waverly, cousins of bride. The bride's personal attendants were Beth Grabau, of Adel, and Jill Grabau, of Waverly, aunts of the bride.
The bride is a graduate of Williamsburg High School and Kirkwood Community College, Cedar Rapids. She is employed by Gordmans.
The groom is a graduate of Mount Vernon High School and Iowa State University. He is employed by F.J. Krob and Company.
The couple took a cruise for their honeymoon to Cozumel, Belize, Honduras and the Grand Caymans. They currently reside in rural Martelle.
