Cole Corner: Notes from the Slow Lane collected in ‘So Much Sky’
April 26, 2013
Author Karen Weir-Jimerson has published a collection of essays about her rural Iowa life. The collection is titled So Much Sky.
I was first introduced to her writing in Country Home magazine, where she wrote a column called Slow Lane. Several of the essays are from that column. My favorite is about a trip to the pumpkin patch. It is a laugh-out-loud adventure with her family.
The essays are arranged by season and touch on many things Iowa - morel mushroom hunting, small-town parades, snow days, green Jell-O.
Weir- Jimerson continues to write her column Slow Lane, which is now featured in Country Garden.
