Cole Corner: Dig Into Reading program helps to uncover world of summer fun

At Cole Library, plans are under way for the summer reading program "Dig Into Reading." The kickoff party at Hills Bank and Trust is Wednesday, May 22, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. There will be food, fun and other ways to help you dig reading. If you are unable to attend the kickoff, you can stop in the library and sign up at the first floor circulation desk after May 22.
Programs we are having this summer you won't want to miss are:
Monday Morning Movie Madness: Beginning June 3, each Monday morning at 10 a.m., Cole library will host Morning Movie Madness in Room 108. The library will show a G- or PG-rated movie. Mount Vernon Bank and Trust is sponsoring this program. Each person in attendance will get a free popcorn and drink. For a list of the movies, go to www.colelibrary.org and click on "Newsletter" after May 27.
Early the Earthworm program: Thursday, June 27, at 9:30 a.m., Kristin Simon will present a program around the book "Earl the Earthworm Digs for his Life." The program will include a treat and activities about worms.
Ventriloquist and puppeteer Lisa Laird: Come meet Lisa and her friends for a fun show filled with ventriloquism, puppets and magic on Thursday, July 25, at 9:30 a.m. This program is free and open to the public.
Story Time: Story time continues every Thursday morning at 9:30.
