The Mount Vernon baseball team earned doubleheader sweeps of both Vinton-Shellsburg and Anamosa last week. They also lost both games of a doubleheader with Clear Creek-Amana.

The Mustangs earned the 11-4 win behind the pitching of Marquis Dew in the final four innings of the ball game.
