William Everett "Bill" Smith, 41, of Lisbon, died Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at his home in Lisbon. Services 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 9th, 2013 at Morgan Funeral Choices, Mount Vernon. Following the service, burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery, with military honors. The family will greet friends from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Surviving Bill are his wife Brandy; three sons: Zeb Light of Richmond, Texas, Mitchell and Colten Smith both of Lisbon; a daughter Cheyenne Smith of Lisbon; parents Steve and Roberta Daggett Seibert of Cedar Rapids; a sister Tena Talmadge of Paisley, Florida; and a four-legged friend Duke.
He was born January 15, 1972, in Terre Haute, Indiana, the son of Charles and Roberta Smith. Bill graduated from Lincoln High School and served with the U.S. Marine Corps. He married Brandy Light August 3, 1993. Bill worked as a supervisor at FSP in Cedar Rapids.
Bill was an avid sports fan, especially of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Chicago Cubs. He bowled, played softball, and enjoyed fishing trips with the guys.
