Cole Corner: Per request, more quilting books
December 04, 2013 · Cathy Boggs
Often in this article I encourage readers to let me know the books that they would like to see in the library. It helps me to make sure that our collection reflects the wants and needs of the community. This happened recently when a patron expressed a desire for the library to purchase additional quilting books:
"You have so many knitting books, would it be possible to buy some more quilting books?"
My answer, of course, was not, "Hah! There is no such thing as too many knitting books!" but, "You bet!"
The quilting books have arrived and are just in time for holiday quilting and sewing. They are: Simple Blessing: 14 Quilts to Grace Your Home by Kim Diehl; Hand Quilted with Love: Patchwork Projects Inspired by a Passion for Quilting by Sarah Fielke; Scraps Plus One!: New Patterns to Quilt Through Your Stash with Ease by Joan Ford; Warm and Cozy: Christmas Quilts From Hopscotch by Heather and Eliss Williams; Tis the Season: Quilts and Other Comforts by Jeanne Large and Shelley Wicks; Comfort Zone: More Primitive Projects for You and Your Home by Maggie Bonanomi.
If you are a quilter and would like to see the library have a quilting group please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can work together to accommodate this need in the community.
